PERMANENT MAKEUP

Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, has come a long way in recent years.  There are many different techniques but please understand that these are all considered permanent.  Any time ink or pigment is implanted in the skin, it will remain there even if it has faded.

Microblading is the method done with a disposable hand tool to create individual strokes resembling hairs. (I no longer offer full microblading as I believe it fades too quickly and causes too much trauma to the skin in the long-run.)

Powder brows are done with a tattoo machine and uses disposable cartridges. This can be used on all skin types but is ideal for clients with oily skin. There are different styles such as a soft and airy powder brow or a very bold look. This is based on client preference.

Hybrid brows (aka combo brows or microshading) is the best of both worlds and includes either microblading or nanstrokes in the front of the brow while a machine is used for a softer, filled-in look gradually throughout the rest of the eyebrow.

Nano brows look like individual hairstrokes but are completely done with the machine. This technique lasts much longer than microblading and also produces less scar tissue. The procedure takes much longer to perform and is priced accordingly.

All permanent makeup methods consist of TWO appointments, no less than 8 weeks apart.

THE PROCESS

The process begins with consent forms, in-depth consultation, and photos are taken.  I will map out the shape of your new eyebrows and get your approval. The color and shape of the brows are custom designed to each individual but remember...eyebrows are sisters, not twins!! Our faces are not completely symmetrical so our eyebrows should not be either.  My goal is to achieve balance and get your brows as close to perfect as possible.

Once we have agreed upon the color and shape, I will apply a topical anesthetic so you can be comfortable during the procedure. This numbing cream will also be reapplied during the procedure. I will then implant the body art pigments into your skin using either the microblading hand tool or tattoo machine.  Traditional tattoo ink is not used.

You will receive an aftercare kit along with instructions.  The second appointment, known as the Perfection Appointment, will be scheduled for no sooner than 8 weeks. If you still need another session for optimal results, additional charges will apply.

A Color Boost every 1-3 years is recommended to ensure the ideal shape and that the color looks fresh.

It is important to note that individual results vary. Skin type, pre-existing conditions, skincare routine, proper after-care, and other factors can cause different results. If you are a smoker or are frequently in the sun without sunblock, the pigment will fade faster. If you are iron deficient or anemic, your pigment will fade faster and you may experience more bleeding/bruising. Please read through the Pre-Care and Post-Care procedures before booking an appointment. Permanent makeup is LOW maintenance, not no maintenance.
